We are now in October so why not to change to a more Halloweenesque banner for our weekly charts review! It’s all about Thriller this month!
As always, let’s start with the good news in the charts this week. On Spotify, “The Way You Make Me Feel” has now surpassed 400 million streams, “They Don’t Care About Us” by has now surpassed 300 million streams, “Workin’ Day and Night” has now surpassed 50 million streams and “Thriller” (song) has had its biggest streaming day on Spotify this year with 329,270 streams. Michael Jackson has now surpassed 37 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform. Not bad for a start!
Let’s go straight to America where “Thriller” album is reclimbing the charts there as it gained 5 places on the Billboard Top 100 Album Sales to be at #50 spot. Same on the Billboard Top 200 Album where “Thriller” is at #125 and “The Essential Michael Jackson” at #129.
In Europe, “Thriller” re-entered the charts in Greece at #50 on the Top 75 Albums charts and surprisingly, “Dangerous” also re-entered this chart at #54.
Meanwhile in Ireland, “The Essential Michael Jackson” gained 4 places in the Top 100 Albums to be at #34.
And in the UK, “Thriller” has not yet re-entered any charts but “The Essential Michael Jackson” is still going with #23 position on the Top 100 Albums and #14 on the UK Official Top 100 Streaming Albums.
