“The Essential Michael Jackson” is currently at #113 on the Billboard Top 200 Album and #43 on the Billboard Top 50 Catalog Albums. Meanwhile “Thriller” is #116 on the Billboard Top 200, #47 on the Billboard 100 Album Sales and #44 on the Billboard Top 50 Catalog Albums. “Thriller” is losing few spots on a weekly basis since the re-release of the album for the 40th Anniversary last year. However, it is still present in the official charts as you can still find physical copies of the albums in all music stores!
This is a different story in the UK! It will be a challenge for you to find “Thriller40” in a store as clearly the Estate has neglected this market as well as the European one! And it obviously shows in the charts such as the UK Official Charts: “Thriller” dropped out of the charts WEEKS ago!
But “The Essential Michael Jackson” still climbing! This week, it gained 3 spots to be at #17 on the UK Official Albums Streaming Chart Top 100 and also at #24 on the UK Official Albums Chart Top 100.
In other news, shortened version of “Thriller” short film has now surpassed 200 million views on YouTube, bringing the combined views to 1.1 billion!
The song “Break of Dawn” has now surpassed 15 million streams on Spotify while “Billie Jean has surpassed 1.4 billion streams on the same platform! The album “HIStory” is not doing bad either on Spotify with over 700 million streams!
Two Michael Jackson Songs are currently going viral on TikTok: “You Rock My World” and “Heaven Can Wait”!
