The RIAA (The Recording Industry Association of America) has given awards to the Michael Jackson Estate during the Birthday Bash in Las Vegas.
The Estate received 4 awards from the RIAA which were revealed in front of fans in the lobby of MJ ONE theatre in front of the “Smooth Criminal” outfit.
The songs “Thriller” and “Billie Jean” are now certified Diamond (over 10 million sales) and “Beat It” and “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)” were certified Platinum.
To note as well that “The Girl is Mine” was also rewarded Platinum and “The Lady In My Life”, Gold. All songs are from the “Thriller” album.
