Mary J. Blige surprised fans with a special tribute to Michael Jackson during her Las Vegas residency on Halloween night, October 31.
The Grammy-winning singer took to the stage at her My Life, My Story residency dressed in Michael Jackson’s iconic red leather jacket to perform the King of Pop’s legendary hit, “Thriller”.
Backed by a troupe of dancers, Blige recreated some of the unforgettable choreography from the original music video, bringing the Halloween classic to life in front of her Las Vegas audience.
The unexpected performance was a fitting addition to the Halloween celebrations, with “Thriller” continuing to be one of the most recognisable songs associated with the spooky season.
Mary J. Blige’s tribute also comes at a time when “Thriller” is enjoying renewed attention on streaming platforms, more than four decades after its original release in 1982.
A special Halloween moment, and another reminder of Michael Jackson’s lasting influence on music, dance and pop culture.
