A group of talented 3rd–5th grade students have captured the hearts of Michael Jackson fans with an energetic tribute dance celebrating the King of Pop’s timeless influence.
The performance, shared by educator and choreographer Malinda Jackson, showcases young dancers performing a routine inspired by Michael Jackson’s legendary artistry. The choreography was arranged by Malinda Jackson and Francis Bucknor Jr. (@The-Franchise), with additional choreography contributions from SweatJam and KLK. The routine incorporates recognizable elements from Michael’s iconic short films and stage performances, including references to “Remember the Time” and “Jam.”
Although only a short snippet was shared online, the performance highlights the dedication and enthusiasm of the young dancers as they pay tribute to one of music’s greatest entertainers. Their precision, confidence, and passion demonstrate how Michael Jackson’s influence continues to inspire new generations long after his passing.
Malinda Jackson is no stranger to creating memorable performances with young students. The educator and choreographer has previously gained attention for producing large-scale school productions celebrating African American history and cultural icons, including Michael Jackson tributes performed by elementary school students.

It’s is very fitting to see children born after his very sad and tragic passing dance towards celebrate him. His love and care for the world’s children is clear here. And i just imagine how how happy he would be to see and feel this. Assuming of course these experiences can still be felt in one’s resting place🙏🏾

Absolutely love to see this dance these kids were obviously inspired by the true King of Pop, who will certainly live forever in my heart and mind. I I’m so thrilled to know that his unique gift that he gave the world has been welcomed in the hearts of so many generations beyond his own. Thank you sincerely for highlighting our work. Many of these children have never taken a dance class before, but they committed to hours of rehearsals before and after school….the parents were committed to the vision of the costuming. It was such a joy teaching them in addition to collaborating with my former student who danced for me on the same stage when he was a child. That was awesome. Enjoyed so much watching it. Clearly obvious and apparent the amount of time and work that went into preparing for this. Im sure the kids had a lot of fun doing it. I am so happy that I got to see this clip of these talented young people saluting The Super Super Great MJ the Musical Genius of our era who has now changed the lives of generations after us with his love for humanity, music, dance, acting, writing, and the very unique beyond creative, superb skills in the way he did what he did that will forever impact lives of every age group forever. These children were awesome, I just loved it and the costumes that they wore to salute his performances when he entertained was more than wonderful and sooo touching, I am sure MJ is smiling and nodding his head in spirit.
