Coming Soon! Unseen Photos Of Andy Warhol To Be Made Public!

While many of us are familiar with the iconic works of Andy Warhol, he will soon be the focus of attention. As part of a new initiative called the Contact Warhol Project, The Andy Warhol Foundation will soon be releasing over 130,000 unseen images of the late and legendary artist. Stanford University acquired the photos that will be exhibited, which include visuals that date back as early as 1976.

The images are said to provide a look into Warhol’s private life, including rare glimpses of lovers. The images also his celebrity friends including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Michael Jackson, John Lennon, among others.

Many of the photos will be of an upcoming exhibit at Stanford University’s Cantor Arts Center this September with a book on the project to launch in the U.K. in November.

Andy Warhol and Michael Jackson crossed path many times during their life times and both artist were fans of each other’s work. They became friends and shared artistry. You can actually learn more about their relationship at the National Portrait gallery in London at the “Michael Jackson: On the Wall” Exhibition where few paintings and personal belonging of Andy Warhol related to the King of Pop are on display there.
