Michael celebrated another successful awards night, taking home three trophies at the 2026 National Film Awards UK.
Jaafar Jackson was one of the evening’s biggest winners, receiving the Outstanding Performance award for his portrayal of Michael Jackson. The actor also won Best Newcomer, recognizing his remarkable feature film debut and the acclaim he has earned for bringing the King of Pop to the big screen.
The film’s producers were also honored, with Graham King, John Branca, Prince Jackson, and John McClain winning Best Producer for their work on Michael.
The National Film Awards UK are voted for entirely by the public, making these victories a reflection of the strong support the film continues to receive from audiences.

Wow. well deserved, I am a big Michael Jackson fan and I saw the movie , Jafarr did a fantastic job .. he studied his uncle Michael and imitated his dance moves so precise.. there were moments in the movie when I thought he looked like the real Michael.. So proud of Jafarr. I wish him continued success. This was a really good movie

Went to see the movie with my daughter’s it is amazing. Jaafar portrayed his uncle every well. He had his uncle’s moves down.. You could really see his uncle in him. What’s amazing is how much he sounds like michael when he singing . CONGRATULATONS JAAFAR.
