The accolades keep coming for Michael.
The highly successful Michael Jackson biopic has been nominated in five categories at the 2026 National Film Awards UK, one of the few major film awards ceremonies where the winners are decided entirely by public vote.
Among the nominations, director Antoine Fuqua has been recognized in the Best Director 2026 category, while the film’s production team, Graham King, John Branca, Prince Jackson, and John McClain, received a nomination for Best Producer, Film & TV 2026. Rising star Jaafar Jackson earned two nominations, both for Best Newcomer 2026 and Outstanding Performance 2026, while Michael itself is also in the running for Best International Film 2026.
The nominations are particularly significant as the National Film Awards are entirely fan-voted, giving audiences the opportunity to directly support their favorite films and performers. Public voting remains open until June 27, with winners set to be announced during the ceremony in London on July 1.
