There is something very special about seeing a piece of Michael Jackson history in person.
MJVibe was invited to the VIP opening night of Propstore’s Music Live Auction Exhibition at The Cumberland Hotel in London, giving us the opportunity to get up close with some of the Michael Jackson memorabilia that will go under the hammer on October 1 and 2, 2026.
And while the auction itself is still to come, Michael Jackson fans have a chance to see these incredible pieces for themselves this weekend.
A Last Chance To See The Items In London
Propstore has brought together more than 70 highlights from its upcoming music memorabilia auction for a special free public exhibition, running from September 24 to 27 at The Cumberland Hotel.
The exhibition features memorabilia from some of the biggest names in music, including Queen, Oasis, John Lennon, the Sex Pistols and, of course, Michael Jackson.
For fans, it is a very different experience from simply looking at photographs in an online auction catalogue. Seeing Michael’s clothing, tour memorabilia and personal items behind glass gives a completely different sense of their history.
Among the Michael Jackson highlights are pieces connected to the Dangerous World Tour, personal clothing, awards and signed material, as well as other memorabilia spanning different periods of Michael’s career.
Propstore’s catalogue includes Michael Jackson’s personal Dangerous Tour crew jacket from 1992, and a Dangerous World Tour stage-worn fedora from 1993.
There is also an Off the Wall CBS Records UK Sales Disc Award presented to Michael Jackson, a Michael Jackson-autographed and dedicated piece of Jackson family stationery, and several other fascinating pieces connected to his career.
Among those are a customised sailors varsity jacket, a red face mask and a black-and-gold military-style jacket that has been photo-matched.
Some Items Were At Kingvention
There is also a nice connection for those who attended Kingvention 2026.
Some of the Michael Jackson items now heading towards the Propstore auction were previously displayed for fans at Kingvention in London last May.
This gave Kingvention attendees the opportunity to see several of these personal Michael Jackson pieces up close before they moved on to the auction market.
It is therefore particularly nice to see them back in London for one final public exhibition before the auction takes place.

The actual Music Memorabilia Live Auction will then take place on October 1 and 2, 2026, giving collectors the opportunity to bid on the pieces following the exhibition.
For Michael Jackson fans, however, this weekend is about something much simpler: getting one last chance to stand in front of pieces that were once part of Michael’s world.
