Halloween is getting ready to go THRILLER in Chicago!
The annual Chicago Thriller event is returning to the Northalsted neighbourhood this Halloween, giving Michael Jackson fans and dancers the chance to become part of one of the city’s biggest celebrations inspired by the legendary Thriller music video.
For more than 10 years, hundreds of local performers have come together for the event, recreating the iconic choreography from Michael Jackson’s 1983 Thriller short film and turning the streets of North Halsted into a giant celebration of Michael’s music.
And this year, you can join them!
Participants will have the opportunity to learn the original choreography from the Thriller music video during a series of group rehearsals before taking to the streets for the main event.
The big performance will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Halloween night, when dancers will bring Michael Jackson’s legendary zombies, dance moves and music video to life in front of the crowds gathered along the North Halsted street corridor.
Whether you’re an experienced dancer or simply a Michael Jackson fan who has always wanted to take part in a Thriller performance, this is a chance to be part of a Halloween tradition that has been bringing fans and performers together for more than a decade.
