Around fifty items from the world of Michael Jackson will go under the hammer in Paris on 3 June 2026. The sale will be conducted by Aguttes at its venue in Neuilly-sur-Seine, marking the first major European auction dedicated entirely to Jackson-related items.
What’s on Auction
The sale features approximately 50 lots spanning different periods of Michael Jackson’s life and career. Highlights include:
- A hat worn during the 1984 Victory Tour (est. €6,000–€9,000)
- A black sequined stage jacket attributed to Bill Whitten
- Trousers from the Bad Tour era
- Prototype gloves linked to Motown’s 25th anniversary
- A T-shirt worn with Janet Jackson in the Scream video (est. €20,000–€30,000)
- Personal items such as a pillow, a minaudière by Katherine Bauman, autographs, and original drawings
The collection is presented in three sections, covering Jackson’s rise (1979–1984), global peak years (1987–1995), and later, more personal period (1996–2003).
Provenance
All items originate from the collection of Norwegian collector Richard Fossaas, who assembled them with the intention of creating a museum dedicated to Michael Jackson. The pieces were later acquired by a private collector in New York and are now being offered for sale through Aguttes.
