These personal treasures illuminate a very human and gentle side of Michael—one remembered vividly by the young girl who experienced it firsthand.
Remembering the Warsaw Arrival
Polish media outlet TVN24 once interviewed Marielle, who greeted Michael when he landed in Warsaw on 20 September 1996. She described the surreal and electric atmosphere:
“Everyone waited for his arrival… Older women were crying, kids going wild… All were excited, smiling.”
Michael’s concert at Bemowo drew 120,000 people, and during the visit, Marielle accompanied him, even joining him on stage. Her family stayed in the same hotel as Michael in Paris and Disneyland, making her connection to him even more personal.
A Friend, Not a Superstar
Reflecting on her memories, Marielle recalls Michael not as a global icon, but as a genuinely kind, humble and warm person:
“With him I felt he was my friend. He was a normal person with a beautiful soul… Despite his popularity, Michael never looked at people with superiority.”
She remembers his gentle voice, his humor, and his idealism — qualities that shaped his music and humanitarian message.
One of her most cherished memories came during Heal the World:
“Whenever a group of children came on stage… the rest of the kids left, but I stayed the whole song… I felt part of his mission.”
It is a memory that symbolizes Michael’s belief in children as the hope for a better future.
A Beautiful Glimpse Into the Past
For MJ fans, these rare photographs and Marielle’s heartfelt recollections serve as a touching reminder of Michael Jackson’s humanity, warmth and the global friendships he formed.
They also rekindle the magic of the HIStory Tour, a time when Michael inspired millions and created unforgettable moments, including one for a young Polish-French girl who never forgot the kindness of her friend, Michael.
As Marielle revives memories through her Kidiland project, she has gifted the MJ community something priceless: a personal window into history, friendship and the heart of the King of Pop.
