I often look at other artistry to showcase in this series of articles to discover talented people such as painters, cake makers, Graphics, etc… But I forgot there are also upcoming dancers and singers who also deserve to also be in this category as Dance and music is also an art!
Today I would like to make you discover Kew, a young Brazilian dancer and singer who just released an EP last August which he released a series of videos for his music inspired or directly tributed to Michael Jackson dance and music. You will see references to “Smooth Criminal” and “Beat It” or even “The Way You Make Me Feel”. Even one of his songs has “Smooth Criminal” beats.
Despite his young age and peculiar bad boy look, he is not an impersonator. Talking to his fans on social media, he said dance saved his life and clearly Michael Jackson was a huge inspiration.

Kew, born Kelvyn Bertoni Santos, is already being called one of the biggest revelations in Brazilian urban pop. At just 20 years old, he has stepped boldly into the music spotlight with the release of his debut EP “Popstar BR” on August 8, 2025, and he’s doing it with style, confidence and major MJ influence.

Released under GR6, Latin America’s largest urban music label, the EP blends modern Brazilian pop and funk rhythms with international pop flair. Kew masterfully mixes innocence and swagger in his lyrics and dance performances, nodding to global icons like Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and Chris Brown, but always with his own distinct Brazilian identity.
“This EP is a dream come true,” Kew shared. “‘Popstar BR’ is my way of showing who I am, my references and how I see pop music with a Brazilian touch. Each track was made with great care and dedication, and I can’t wait for my fans to hear and feel that energy.”
For MJ fans, the most exciting part is his visual roll-out. Kew has released a series of dance-driven videos that clearly pay tribute to Michael Jackson’s moves and iconic aesthetics. From Smooth Criminal-style footwork, Beat It-inspired attitude, and The Way You Make Me Feel-like street dance storytelling, his work feels like a fresh, modern love letter to the King of Pop, not imitation, but inspiration transformed.
His new single “Slide” has already gone viral on TikTok, sparking thousands of dance clips and challenges, proof that his choreography-first approach is hitting hard with young fans.
Watch him now:
I also forgot to mention that Kew has a tattoo of Michael Jackson on his leg: on one side a portrait of young Michael, and on the other side his icon from the Bad era. Clearly a huge MJ fan to get the King of Pop permanently inked!
