Maria Primolan is an Italian architect and sculptor based in Turin. Born in 1971, she studied at the Vittorio Veneto Art School before graduating in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Turin. Over the years, she has developed a distinctive artistic voice through portrait sculpture, working primarily with wood, bronze, terracotta and ceramic. Her portfolio features detailed tributes to some of music’s greatest icons, including David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Prince and George Michael, blending classical craftsmanship with contemporary cultural subjects.
Continuing her series of music legends, Maria Primolan has turned her attention to Michael Jackson with a striking sculpted bust inspired by his “Bad” era. Crafted in white clay and later painted, the piece captures the intensity and style of one of Jackson’s most iconic periods. Known for her deep respect for musical heritage, Primolan’s work reflects a desire to preserve the emotional and visual identity of legendary artists through sculpture.
