Watchdog ends investigation into MJInnocent posters

The UK advertising watchdog has ended the investigation into the bus and posters MJINNOCENT which was shown in London area protesting against Channel 4’s so called documentary and the claims of child abuse by two convicted liars.

The organisers of MJInnocent.com purchased ads accross London buses and shelters showing a picture of Michael Jackson with the word “Innocent” on his mouth and the slogan “Facts fon’t lie, people do.”

Transport of London came under attack by few associations claiming the ads were not appropriate and decided to remove the ads from London buses.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said: “We received 34 complants in total. In assessing whether there were grounds for further action, we took into account the fact that TFL had removed the ads following concern from the public. In this instance, as the ads had already been removed, there was very little practical action left for us to take.”

It is unclear if ASA would have rulled in favor of the poster ads or the complaints. We guess we will never know!

Meanwhile, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has confirmed they will not remove Michael Jackson from their exhibits:

“Michael Jackson was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Jackson 5 in 1997 and as a solo artist in 2001. As with all of our inductees, Jackson was recognized for musical excellence and talent as well as having a significant impact on rock’n’roll, and was elected by a diverse voting body of historians, fellow musiciians and music industry professionals. Original artifcats and memorabilia from many artists’ lives and performances are on display in our exhibits. there are no plans for this to change.”
