Michael Jackson fans in Brazil will soon have another opportunity to watch the hit biopic Michael from home, with the film officially scheduled to join the Prime Video catalogue on October 23, 2026.
The Brazilian streaming date was reported on October 1 and confirms that Michael will be available directly as part of the Prime Video catalogue, meaning subscribers will not need to pay an additional rental or purchase fee to watch the movie.
Starring Jaafar Jackson as Michael Jackson, the Antoine Fuqua directed film follows Michael Jackson’s journey from his childhood and early days performing with the Jackson 5 through his emergence as one of the world’s biggest entertainers.
The movie was released in cinemas earlier this year and subsequently became available digitally to rent or purchase, including through Amazon Prime Video. Its arrival in the Prime Video subscription catalogue now marks another stage in its home entertainment release.
What about the UK and US?
This is where fans should be a little careful with the October 23 date.
At present, the October 23 Prime Video date has been confirmed for Brazil, but there is no confirmation that the same date applies to every country.
Amazon’s official Prime Video UK October 2026 schedule does not currently list Michael among the month’s subscription releases.
In the United States, Michael remains available through Amazon for digital rental or purchase, while the Prime Video listing also currently offers the movie through a STARZ subscription.
This could mean that the Prime Video subscription rollout is being handled on a territory-by-territory basis. With Brazil now receiving the movie on October 23, it is certainly possible that additional countries will announce their own Prime Video dates over the coming weeks.
For now, however, fans in the UK, US and elsewhere should not assume that October 23 is their release date until their local Prime Video service confirms it.
The good news is that Michael is clearly beginning its move into subscription streaming, so further international announcements could follow soon.
We’ll keep an eye on the different Prime Video territories and update fans as soon as more release dates are confirmed.
