The massive statue of Jaafar Jackson featured on the spectacular Hollywood 3D billboard promoting Michael has now been dismantled from its original installation at the busy intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Poinsettia Place.
As reported in our previous coverage on MJVibe, the larger-than-life display quickly became one of the most talked-about promotional activations for the film, drawing fans and tourists daily to capture photos and videos of the stunning 3D effect.
While the billboard installation has now officially come down following the movie’s promotional rollout, the statue itself has not disappeared. The impressive piece has reportedly been relocated to the lobby of Lionsgate headquarters, allowing visitors and employees to continue enjoying the striking tribute to Michael Jackson’s cinematic return.
Lionsgate is located at 2700 Colorado Avenue, Santa Monica, California 90404.
The move gives the promotional statue a second life beyond the streets of Hollywood, preserving one of the most memorable visual elements from the global campaign surrounding the release of “Michael.”
