Michael Jackson fans are in for a very special night this fall. On November 1, 2025, The Miracle Theater in Inglewood, CA will host MJ & Me, an intimate concert experience by none other than Dorian Holley, a name fans will instantly recognize from his decades of work alongside the King of Pop.
Who is Dorian Holley?
If you’ve followed Michael Jackson’s career, you’ve seen and heard Dorian Holley. He toured with MJ for nearly thirty years, from the Bad World Tour all the way to This Is It, serving as a key background vocalist and vocal director. Beyond his work with Michael, Holley is a highly respected singer, arranger, and performer in his own right. Fans also had the chance to meet him at Kingvention 2020 in London, where he shared stories, insights, and his unmistakable passion for music.
What is MJ & Me?
Holley describes MJ & Me as the realization of a simple but powerful idea he’s carried for years: a chance to reimagine Michael Jackson’s music while weaving in his own. Instead of mimicking the familiar, Holley and his band of world-class musicians took a fresh approach, digging deep into the MJ and Jackson 5 catalogs while steering clear of the expected. The result is a collection of re-arrangements that sound both new and vintage, honoring the spirit of MJ while offering something entirely unique.
But that’s not all. Holley will also perform some of his own original compositions, finally giving these “orphans” of his creativity a place to belong. The combination promises an unforgettable night for fans of Michael Jackson, great live music, and Dorian Holley himself.
