Hampton is getting ready for his second season in the NBA but he found time to explain his tattoos.
“I have a Kobe and Gigi tattoo right here. Kobe is my favorite player. I got this to honor them,” Hampton said. “I think he’s one of the most gifted, talented, hard-working basketball players that ever was. His aura was just different.”
Hampton’s right leg also includes tattoos of Michael Jackson and Muhammad Ali.
“Greatest boxer, ever, greatest fighter. For what all he stood for, I really liked that,” Hampton said. “I’m a super big Michael Jackson fan. Basically, since I was born, my mom and dad are big Michael Jackson fans, so reading about him and studying him and just everything. I was just intrigued with.”
Hampton started getting tattoos when he was 17 years old. He has over a dozen and plans on getting more.
