Starting today, Boutique da Cultura in Lisbon Portugal, has created a show “Beat It Baby” aiming to unite families to raise awareness against racism, violence and social discrimination.
To the sound of countless Michael Jackson songs, so well known to the general public, the theatre company, II Acto takes the show “Beat It, Baby” to the stage in January and February 2024.
The 45 minute sessions will take place at the theatre, every Sundays from 10am to 11:30am and has a pedagogical content for the young and the oldest. Babies, moms and dads will sing and dance to the King of Pop’s music.
SYNOPSIS
For the King of Pop, the crown is a hat he wears to the rhythm of the sound of his heart. When he learned to walk, he danced, and when he learned to speak, he sang, because that was how they heard him best. We accept your request: we will dance at the same pace and we will sing, too, so that you will hear us in a shout. Michael Jackson was born never to die again as the child that lives in each of us. We are more alike than we realize. Just don’t look at the color, but at love.
