Spanish rock band Broken Peach are bringing a heavier sound to Halloween with a new version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, combining the King of Pop’s legendary horror classic with Rammstein’s industrial-metal anthem “Du Hast” and Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me”, which famously features backing vocals from Michael himself.
Premiering on October 18, 2026, the performance gives “Thriller” a theatrical heavy metal makeover, blending three recognisable songs into one Halloween-inspired production. The result brings together Michael Jackson’s iconic musical legacy, the pounding sound of German industrial metal and the paranoid atmosphere of Rockwell’s 1984 hit.
For Michael Jackson fans, the inclusion of “Somebody’s Watching Me” makes the combination particularly interesting. Released in 1984, the song was recorded by Rockwell, with Michael Jackson providing backing vocals alongside his brother Jermaine Jackson. Michael’s unmistakable voice helped make the track one of the most memorable pop hits of the decade.
Broken Peach have been building their own Halloween tradition since 2015, regularly releasing elaborate performances that put a distinctive spin on familiar songs. Their previous Halloween specials have included Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”, Blondie’s “Call Me”, “Ghostbusters” and “This Is Halloween”.
The latest “Thriller” performance has already attracted more than 216,000 views, showing that audiences are enjoying the band’s unusual mix of theatrical rock, heavy metal and Halloween spectacle. The track is also available as a single for those looking to add a heavier version of Michael Jackson’s classic to their spooky-season playlists.
With “Thriller” once again inspiring artists to experiment with its unmistakable sound and atmosphere, Broken Peach have found a way to bring together Michael Jackson, Rammstein and Rockwell in one suitably dramatic Halloween release.
