MJ Estate Submits $106,000 Legal Bill to Paris Jackson as Court Fight Intensifies

The legal standoff between Paris Jackson and the executors of the Michael Jackson Estate has taken another sharp turn, with the Estate now seeking to recover more than $106,000 in legal fees from Michael’s daughter.

On Friday, January 9, co-executors John Branca and John McClain filed court documents detailing the costs they say were incurred while responding to Paris’s recent court actions. According to the filing, the Estate accumulated approximately $94,000 in past legal expenses, along with an additional $21,000 earmarked for anticipated future fees, bringing the total to six figures.

The fee request follows a recent ruling in which a judge denied Paris’s attempt to block the executors from making certain payments. While the decision favored the Estate procedurally, Paris’s camp has repeatedly stressed that the ruling does not address the substance of her broader claims regarding transparency, oversight, and executor conduct.

As previously reported by MJVibe, Paris has accused Branca and McClain of abusing their roles, enriching themselves at the expense of the Estate’s beneficiaries, and leaving hundreds of millions of dollars improperly invested. Her representatives have consistently maintained that the case is about accountability, not obstruction.

In response to the latest fee submission, Paris’s team has already made its position clear. When the executors signaled their intent to seek reimbursement for legal costs, her representatives stated that the request would be formally opposed.

Following the earlier ruling, a spokesperson reiterated Paris’s stance, emphasizing that the court’s decision was limited in scope. According to her representatives, the judge’s order addressed procedural matters only and did not undermine the concerns she has raised about the executors’ conduct. Paris, they say, remains determined to pursue further filings in an effort to ensure fair treatment for herself and her brothers, Prince and Bigi, and to safeguard her father’s legacy.

The $106,000 legal bill adds yet another layer to an already complex and closely watched dispute. With a court hearing scheduled for January 13, 2026, the battle over the management of Michael Jackson’s Estate and who ultimately bears the cost of defending it, shows no sign of slowing down.
