Calling all King of Pop collectors! A sparkling piece of MJ’s iconic stage presence is heading to auction and it’s straight from the HIStory era!
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the Auction House in Nîmes, France, will host a sale featuring art, decorative objects, and furniture. But for MJ fans, all eyes will be on Lot No. 258: a stage sock once worn by Michael Jackson, reportedly left behind after his HIStory World Tour stop in Nice on June 27, 1997.
This is no ordinary sock—it’s a high, crystal-adorned sock, glittering with MJ magic and preserved in a glass display case (37.5 x 37.5 x 4 cm). According to the listing, it was discovered by Mr. Maada, a stage technician who was part of the post-show dismantling crew at Stade Charles Ehrmann. He found the sparkling relic near the dressing rooms and kept it safely stored for nearly three decades, alongside his original backstage pass from that unforgettable night.
Even better? The item comes with a certificate of discovery and a payslip from the event, giving fans a traceable history of this rare find. It’s estimated to fetch between €3,000 and €4,000, making it a potential gem for serious collectors and MJ historians.
Can’t wait to see it in person? A pre-auction exhibition is scheduled for Friday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Auction House.
