Thriller 40 Documentary poster now available

Right! The “Thriller 40” Documentary Poster has been available on Michael Jackson store for few weeks now but they just started promoting it on their website so here is the new Merchandise for you.

First of all, is it “Better late than never” or “too little, too late” for this product? When I saw the item weeks ago, I was waiting for few more items to be added, after all, this was part of the Estate project “Thriller 40” (with this documentary released nearly a year after the project started). But it seems this is the only merch fans will get for “Thriller 40” Documentary.

The reactivity of the store/Estate is just mad to me! While the Estate heavily promoted the documentary when it was released last year, you will think that merchandise would have been ready and available on that date. But as always, like their shipping methods, the Estate is late in action or forethinking. They could have done so much more.

For me, it is “too little too late”, as most of the fan community is focusing now on “The Greatest Night in Pop” documentary which in my opinion is 10 times better than the Thriller documentary. So to release this product months after the documentary aired, or even planning merchandise for it, is just too late and frankly bad marketing practice.

As for the price, $25 for a poster 24×36″ is in my opinion a bit expensive when most of the movie posters of that size can be found for $10 or less.
