The Michael Jackson’s Glove … from the toilet.

In February 26, 1984, Michael Jackson attended a premiere of the two Pepsi commercials that he and his brothers filmed for the soft drink company. The event took place at the New York City’s Lincoln in front of a 1,000 Pepsi bottlers. Michael went on stage with Alfonso Ribeiro who also appeared on the commercials.

In a recent interview for The Rich Eisen Show, Alfonso revealed that Michael’s glove was soaking wet. Why?

“Right before he [Michael Jackson] walked out on stage, he went to the bathroom, and accidently dropped his sequin glove in the toilet. He’s freaking out. It’s the one! It’s the Glove! He’s got one glove! He did not come with multiple. He did not have a suitcase of gloves! He’s freaking out and just reaching out and pick up his glove. The rest of us are just ‘What are going to do with the glove bro?’. We had to go on stage and he had a soaking wet sequin glove on from the toilet. Lincoln Center’s toilet water on the glove. It’s the first time I ever tell this story on TV!”

You can watch the scene where Michael and Alfonso are on stage at the Lincoln Center below. Never noticed this before but if you look closely, once Michael shakes Alfonso’s hand, Alfonso has a little instinctive hand move to shake of the water from his own hand!
