Just a day after fans noticed that planning for this year’s Michael Jackson birthday celebration had quietly begun, The Estate of Michael Jackson has now released the first details of the official schedule for the annual event at Michael Jackson ONE in Las Vegas.
As expected, the celebration will once again follow the exact same formula fans have become accustomed to over the past several years.
The day will begin with the Sixth Annual Birthday Fan Reception from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, open exclusively to fans holding tickets for either the 6:30 PM or 9:00 PM performance of Michael Jackson ONE. Due to limited capacity, attendees will once again need to pre-register in advance to guarantee admission.
At 2:00 PM, the theater doors will open for the afternoon festivities, followed by the now traditional Michael Bush book signing.
The main stage event begins at 2:30 PM, featuring a Q&A session with special guests, whose identities have yet to be announced, as well as a special performance created by the cast of Michael Jackson ONE specifically for the birthday celebration. As in previous years, the afternoon activities will be free to attend and the Q&A will also be livestreamed for fans around the world.
Following the theater program, Michael Bush will continue signing books in the pre-lobby area before the evening concludes with the familiar pre-show meet-and-greet between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM for ticket holders. Fans will once again have the opportunity to meet Estate representatives, members of the Michael Jackson ONE creative team and invited guests, while enjoying the traditional birthday cupcakes.
While additional guests are still expected to be announced, the overall structure of the event remains virtually unchanged from previous editions.
Considering 2026 has been dubbed by many fans as the “Year of Michael” following the phenomenal success of the Michael biopic, many had hoped the Estate would use this year’s birthday celebration to create something bigger and more memorable. With worldwide interest in Michael Jackson at one of its highest levels in years, the annual Las Vegas gathering seemed like the perfect opportunity to introduce new experiences, exclusive presentations or even appearances from members of the biopic’s cast.
Instead, the schedule unveiled so far suggests another edition built around the same activities fans have attended year after year.
Of course, the Estate has teased that additional details and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks, so there is still room for surprises. Whether those surprises will be enough to elevate the event beyond its now familiar format remains to be seen.
