Sam Emerson gives a rare interview

Sam Emerson was Michael Jackson’s photographer for many years and he doesn’t give many interviews, especially about Michael Jackson.

The last time he gave an interview was for Iconic Magazine Issue 12 which the magazine paid him a $1000 for one hour conversation.

This time he sat down with Maksym Zakharchuk, a Chicago based filmmaker/photographer, to talk about Emerson’s work and time with Michael Jackson.

While we learn a bit more of the inside world of the King of Pop and how he wanted to be photographed, we can’t ignore Emerson’s bitterness when he talk about being fired by Jackson. He seems to still hold a grudge against Michael for the whole situation. The interview is at time very disturbing and uncomfortable to watch, not only due to Emerson’s responses but also due to the presenter being awkwardly weird.

You can watch the full interview here:

Meanwhile, Emerson has sold all his Michael Jackson catalogue to Figueroa Mountain Entertainment, a Netherlands Photo Agency, this year. The sold catalogue amount has not been disclosed.

  1. I’m halfway in and I feel like calling the presenter uncomfortably and awkwardly weird is unnecessarily mean, he’s doing fine. I mean, at least he’s not bland.
