Yesterday, the single “Off The Wall” was released in 1980 (Feb, 02) but the RIAA, The Recording Industry Association of America®, also awarded the album of the same name a 9x Multiple-Platinum Certification meaning the 1979’s album sold over 9 million copies since its release in America.

Still far from the 33x Multi-Platinum of “Thriller” but still a great accomplishment for Michael Jackson.
Now let’s hope to see “Thriller” going to a Diamond Certification as the last update from the RIAA was 2017.
