Fans of Michael Jackson are in for a real treat as members of the MJ The Musical Broadway, New York company have come together to recreate one of the King of Pop’s most legendary visuals, the groundbreaking “BAD” short film.
In a passionate creative project led by cast and collaborators, the team set out to pay homage to the energy, storytelling, and choreography that defined Michael Jackson’s original 1987 masterpiece. The result is a high-energy recreation that celebrates both the legacy of MJ and the talent within the Broadway production currently honoring his life on stage.
The project was spearheaded by Dasia Alonna and Skye Jackson Williams, who, alongside a dedicated creative team, assembled the cast and crew to bring the vision to life. The production captures the spirit of the original short film, while adding a fresh theatrical flair inspired by the stage world of MJ The Musical.
The iconic choreography, originally created by Gregg Burge, Jeffery Daniel, and Michael Jackson himself, was respectfully recreated and reimagined by the ensemble, blending precision, style, and the unmistakable attitude that made “BAD” a cultural landmark.
“We’ve been itching to recreate MJ’s iconic BAD music video, and we finally were able to do it. Dasia and I got the crew together and made something shake! Thank you to our team and cast who all helped put this together! Give us some love :)”
