Michael Jackson Worn Western Style Black Shirt back in auction

One of Michael Jackson’s shirt is back in auction this week. Like we predicted, items sold in auctions since 2009, owned by Michael Jackson, will time to time reappear in other auctions. This shirt was sold in 2010 for $12,885 in the USA.

Today this shirt is in Surrey, UK and estimate at £6,000 to £8,000 with a starting bid at £3,000. The Auction will take place on August 24 at Ewbank’s. This time, the shirt has been framed including reference photos:

This western style bib front shirt was worn by Michael Jackson in numerous occasions throughout the mid 1980’s. He also had the same shirt in red, which he wore in the famous photograph with Bubbles.

Michael was photographed with Quincy Jones at an event or with Barry Gibbs house in Miami. A photo of Michael in the shirt with Mr. T was reprinted in the September 2009 Michael Jackson Commemorative issue of Ebony Magazine.

The black shirt by “Tony Alamo of Nashville” is made of a polyester knit, with long sleeves, pointed collar, and white pearlized snaps down each side and bottom of the bib and on the sleeve cuffs. The bib is trimmed with white piping, and has narrow white braid passementerie embellishment. The collar is trimmed with stamped metal collar points.
