One of the most iconic symbols in pop history, Michael Jackson’s white rhinestone glove, is heading to auction later this month. The piece, believed to date from around 1984 and possibly stage worn, will be sold by Nate D. Sanders Auctions, with bidding closing on April 30, 2026.
The glove became inseparable from Michael Jackson’s image after his “Billie Jean” performance at the Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, where he debuted the moonwalk. He later explained in Moonwalk that a single glove simply felt more distinctive.
This example was gifted by Jackson in 1984 to artist Paul Bedard, who created artwork for him during the Thriller era and at Neverland Ranch. Documentation included in the sale supports its authenticity.
The auction comes as interest in Michael Jackson rises again with the release of the biopic Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson.

Hi I have a bunch of questions and I want to also ask if there’s any way I could find the new Michael movie merch I went to see the Michael movie in theaters today and I was very unhappy because the amc movie theater I went to today didn’t have any more left of the merch. I have always been a huge fan of Michael Jackson’s since I was a little girl many years ago and I still am a huge fan but I always loved listening to Michael’s music because it’s inspiring to me and it helped me through a lot of tough times and my hard times I went through a lot in my past and I loved watching his movies with my great grandmother who passed away 10 years ago so I am really sad and really mad at those people who buy it all out before anyone else can get a chance to buy them. So I really wanted to have some of his merch to honor all of his memories and my grandma memories forever if I had some of his merch to remember them by forever.
