Our annual Michael Jackson Fans’ Ultimate Anthology Poll has now closed after three weeks of voting, and the results are in!
We wanted to allow you to vote for your favourite Michael Jackson works without the usual limitations of only being able to choose from the classics. This yearly poll will find out what Michael’s fans have been enjoying over the past 12 months. This time around there have been quite a few surprise additions.

Points of note for this category
- Sunset Driver has moved categories from Songs to Post-humous songs owing to its inclusion on Thriller 40.
- Who Do You Know is the highest new entry, taking 2nd place
- Al Capone moved up 8 places to number 1.
- The Cascio Tracks were not included in this poll for the 3rd year. This will be the last time they are mentioned relating to this poll, as their removal from the catalogue in 2022 firmly puts them in the trash where they belong.
- Love Never Felt So Good, Hollywood Tonight, Slave To The Rhythm and Loving You all lost their place in the Top 10 in favour of Thriller 40 tracks.
- Xscape 2014 Version received the lowest number of votes
CATEGORY THREE – SOLO STUDIO ALBUMS
Your Top Michael Jackson Album: HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I
In the year that Michael Jackson’s Thriller turned 40, there was the possibility that it could be voted the number one album by Michael Jackson fans. However, this was not the case. For the first time since the poll began, fans voted HIStory – Past Present and Future Book I as their number one Michael Jackson album for 2022.

- “Dangerous” was on the top of the list last year but is now #2
- “Thriller” is still maintaining the fourth position for 3 years in a row
- “Forever, Michael”, “Got To Be There” and “Michael” albums are all three at the bottom
- Just 2 Votes separate Thriller 40 & Invincible
- Blood On The Dance Floor album was not included owing to its mix of remixes and new songs
CATEGORY FOUR – SOLO TOURS
Your Top Michael Jackson Solo Tour: Bad Tour
Will the Bad Tour ever be de-throned? It’s unlikely as it was once again voted Michael Jackson Fan’s number 1 solo tour scoring almost 4 times as many votes as Dangerous Tour which came in second place. The HIStory World Tour received just 57 votes.
CATEGORY FIVE – SOLO GREATEST HITS ALBUM
Your Top Michael Jackson Greatest Hits Album: The Ultimate Collection
It’s three times in a row for The Ultimate Collection, which took the top spot as your favourite Greatest Hits package. It’s no surprise that fans continue to vote for this top as it is one of the most complete and exciting Michael Jackson Greatest Hits Collections.
Once again, we continue our fight to have this back on streaming #JusticeforUltimateCollection

- “Number Ones” is back in 2nd position over “The Essential” which is back in 3rd position
- “Scream” which was rated higher the last 2 years, is now in the last position, having dropped steadily in popularity since the poll began
- 445 votes separated the top 2 positions.
CATEGORY SIX – JACKSON 5 ALBUM
Your Top Jackson 5 Album: ABC
The J5 have a robust catalogue that everyone will like something different. However, the one thing you could all agree on this year was that ABC was your number-one Jackson 5 album.

- Just 4 votes separate Dancing Machine (2) and G.I.T Get It Together (3)
- Moving Violation and Lookin’ Through The Windows & Skywriter tied for last place
- The Christmas album dropped to 4th place alongside Diana Ross Presents.
CATEGORY SEVEN – JACKSONS ALBUM
Your Top Jacksons Album: Triumph
It’s 3 for 3 as Triumph takes the top spot for the third year in a row as your number 1 Jackson’s album. The recent boost in popularity has been helped by the re-issues of the album on streaming services in 2021 with new and exciting expanded versions of the songs. Can You Feel It – Jacksons X MLK Mix now features in Michael Jackson One in Las Vegas.

- 2300 Jackson Street came in last place again this year
- Over 150 more votes placed Triumph in the number one position
- Jackson’s Live charted above The Jacksons album.
- Victory took it’s spot back from Destiny, moving up to second position again.
CATEGORY EIGHT – SHORT FILM
Your Top Michael Jackson Short Film: Smooth Criminal
Is anybody surprised by this? Smooth Criminal once again takes poll position as your number one Michael Jackson short film. In fact, the Top 4 remained identical to last year.
