Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International announced on Tuesday that Universal will serve as the international distributor for the Michael Jackson biopic Michael.
Universal will handle all territories apart from Japan, while Lionsgate will represent the film in the US.

We are thrilled to be partnering with our friends at Universal to give global audiences new insight into the complex life of one of the most prolific artists the world has ever known.” Said Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair, Joe Drake.
Production is set to start as soon as the SAG-AFTRA strike resolves.
