Some dreams are worth working hard for and for 4-year-old Josiah from Kearns, Utah, that dream was becoming a little closer to his favorite entertainer, the one and only Michael Jackson.
While many children might spend the money from a lemonade stand on toys, sweets, or games, Josiah had a very special goal in mind: saving enough money to buy his very own Michael Jackson costume.
For weeks, the young fan proudly ran his lemonade stand, serving customers and saving every dollar until he could finally make his dream come true. His reward? A costume inspired by Michael’s iconic style, complete with a microphone so he could sing and dance just like his idol.
Josiah’s love for Michael Jackson is already clear. When asked what dances he knows, he happily shows off his version of “Smooth Criminal,” proving that even at just four years old, Michael’s music continues to inspire new generations.
“I love Michael Jackson! I want to meet him, but he died,” Josiah shared, showing the genuine admiration he has for the King of Pop.
His passion has even influenced his dreams for the future.
“When I get older, I want to be him,” he said.
The journey to his costume was not easy, though. When asked how many cups of lemonade he had to sell, Josiah had a simple answer:
“So many! It took a lot of working to do that.”
His dedication touched the local community, who came together to support the young Michael Jackson fan. During one visit to his lemonade stand, a customer surprised Josiah by giving him a collection of Michael Jackson items.
“A girl just walked up to my lemonade and just gave me a bunch of Michael Jackson things,” he explained.
Thanks to his hard work, determination, and the kindness of those around him, Josiah is now proudly wearing his Michael Jackson-inspired outfit and sharing his love for music with everyone around him.
“Every night I sing and I love it,” he said.
