Jermaine Jackson Announces Plans for a ‘Jackson Museum’ in Monaco

During The Monegasque magazine’s Christmas gala at the Yacht Club of Monaco, Jermaine Jackson unveiled ambitious plans to establish a Jackson Museum—a venue he says will celebrate the artistic legacy of his brother, Michael Jackson, as well as the wider Jackson family. According to Jermaine, the museum aims to showcase an extensive collection of artwork and personal items connected to the King of Pop, spanning from the 1960s through to Michael’s final years.

Alongside the museum concept, Jermaine also mentioned that a dedicated exhibition in Monaco is being explored. If approved, this “world premiere” exhibition could open within the next one to two years.

The initiative is reportedly backed by Jackson Family Legacy Investments, and is said to include rare collaborative works such as pieces attributed to both Michael Jackson and Andy Warhol—most notably a co-signed portrait of Marilyn Monroe. Dr. Louis Niang, a specialist in international business law, has publicly estimated the value of the art collection at $1.6 billion.

Jermaine stated that two major Jackson family collections are intended for the museum, including the Michael-focused “Treasures Collections,” which features paintings of significant figures who influenced his life. Altogether, the project is said to involve approximately 400 pieces from both Michael and other members of the Jackson family, with the works reportedly stored in Washington for many years.

Speaking to Monaco Info, Jermaine explained:

“We present the legacy of the Jackson family with this museum. It’s actually the collection of treasures created by my late brother Michael. There are over 200 pieces and we want to have it here. Monaco is very special to us. His Excellency Prince Albert II has always been close to the family. He knew Michael. What you will find in this museum are objects from different family members and things dear to us. We want to make it special. I call it a ‘Show-Seum’ because we like to entertain and create that ‘wow’ effect.”

Jermaine also described his vision for an immersive exhibition experience that would blend storytelling with multimedia elements, including brief musical interludes when highlighting the Jackson 5 era. He added that while the family treasures are extensive, only Michael’s most meaningful pieces would be selected for display.

A Note of Caution

While the project sounds grand in scope, it is important to acknowledge that Jermaine Jackson has previously announced other ventures that did not ultimately materialize. Additionally, depending on the nature of the artworks and personal items involved, the Estate of Michael Jackson may need to grant approval and it remains unclear whether they are aware of or aligned with this proposed museum.

As always, MJVibe will monitor developments and report updates as they become available.
