By now you all know Kingvention, the only Michael Jackson Fan Convention in the world.
While the last event took place in London last year, the team is working on a potential US version for 2024. Despite their ongoing financial challenges, they are struggling to overcome accumulated debts from past events and daily operational expenses. It’s important to note that they have intentionally kept ticket prices at a minimum, ensuring that every fan, regardless of their budget, can attend the event and join in the celebration of Michael
Though reluctant to seek assistance (coming from someone on the team), they’ve introduced a collection of merchandise inspired by the King of Pop to aid in recovering and funding future events. The concept revolves around fans acquiring fantastic items from the store, with the proceeds from each purchase propelling them forward.
And boy they have great items that I am sure you will like! First, some great stuff from the past events such as programs, laynards, tickets and tote bags, branded “Kingvention”.
They also have an exclusive range designed with Michael Jackson Photographer Steven Paul Whitsitt, including a t-shirt (black or white), a sweater and two LIMITED Michael Jackson framed print.
They also have a the “Neverland University” range with hoodies and t-shirts but also cool and unique designs of t-shirts, keeping Michael on site but making the items also mysterious.
But my favorite collection is actually the pin collection. Each event has a limited (200) gold-like pin design with a Michael Jackson silhouette, the year and the name of the event. They are so cool to collect!
