Former US champion gymnast scores a PERFECT 10 with Michael Jackson medley

Who said Michael Jackson did not inspire the best?

Katelyn Ohashi, a former USA junior national gymnast, stunned the judges when she scored a perfect 10 for her floor routine, performed to a Michael Jackson song.

The 20-year-old appears to be going from strength to strength as she managed her career-first perfect 10 with a beam routine in March of last year against California. Now, she has taken that perfection to the floor.

Katelyn performed her feat as a part of the UCLA gymnastics team as they faced off against Oregon state in a meet on Sunday, February 25.

The team was on its way to victory when Katelyn lined up for the floor exercise, but she needed more than a 9.9 score in order to help her team hit 198 for their first time in the season.

Luckily for the team, Katelyn delivered in dazzling fashion as she flawlessly ran through a series of stunning tumbling lines interspersed with Michael Jackson-infused dance flavor.

Katelyn grinned to the crowd as they took to their feet and went wild over every move made in perfect time with the medley of songs.

The score was the fifth 10 score achieved over the course of the meet, but it took UCLA just over the line for a season-best score as well as a triumphant victory over Oregon.

What a performance and very inspiring!
