The Swedish fan club is happy to present a 3-day Michael Jackson fan-event with special guest LaVelle Smith Jr who will join us for a personal and close up seminar and give 2 dance workshops.
The event will take place in the immediate city of Gothenburg and all places we have scheduled for this event is very close by to city centre.
The seminar
Saturday August 13th
LaVelle will host the 2 hour seminar telling us about some special private moments with Michael, choreography sessions for Ghosts, Dangerous and videos and shows. He will also tell us how it was to be a backup dancer on all Michaels major world tours – a journey that started for LaVelle over 23 years ago.
There will be a some surprises, photo sessions and autograph opportunities during and after the seminar.
The seminar is 300 SEK (30 euros)
Note! It will be absolutely NOT be permitted to take photos or to film during the seminar!
You will be asked to leave your recording devices (including your phone) with our security guard at the entrance.
For the photo session after the seminar you will be allowed to use your own devices
The workshops
Sunday August 14th
There will be two different dance workshops on Sunday August 14th. The first workshop will start at 9:15 with warm up exercises.
There will be pauses and time for lunch break! Everyone attending as dancers will get a certificate of attendance personally signed by LaVelle.

Workshop 1 starting 9 :00 AM: Ghosts, Beat it, Thriller and a Jackson 5 medley
Workshop 2 starting at 14:00 PM: Dangerous and Smooth Criminal
Cost: 450 SEK (45 euros) for dancers and 250 SEK (25 euros) for the audience. The prices are per workshop!
Limited number of tickets for dancers: 35 persons per workshop
Limited number of audience per workshop: 25 persons per workshop

Liseberg amusement park
Friday August 11th
Starting the event on Friday August 12th we will meet up at Liseberg – Scandinavias largest amusement park. Michael visited the park for a whole day while he was in Gothenburg for the BAD tour 11-12 June 1988.

Michael ‘s BAD hotel
Friday August 11th
We will get a private guided tour at the Radisson Blu hotel (former Sheraton) at Michaels top floor suit he lived in during his BAD tour. The guide will tell us stories on how it was to have Michael as a guest at the hotel and some some pretty funny memories and stories from the staff that worked there during that historical weekend. We promise it will be awesome!
Michael Party!
Saturday August 13th
We will of course throw a huge Michael party during Saturday evening! Be sure to bring your coolest jacket, t-shirt, hat, banner, pin or whatever you feel like wearing or bring.
MJ Café Gothenburg
Friday – Sunday August 12-14th
We will have meet ups at Gothenburgs “MJ-Café” Bar Foxx – Which is our regular meeting place for the Swedish fan club every other month. The owner Andreas is happy to play Michael music and show videos for us. The café has warm food, pies, desert, te, coffe, natural juices and fresh salads.
