Drumline students pay tribute to the King of Pop

The drumline students at Smithfield-Selma High School created a toe-tapping music video full of flashing lights, costumes, choreography and an undeniable rhythm.

Created with the help of their teacher Justin Holmes, the teens showcase a wide variety of incredible talents – dancing, a wide variety of instruments and of course drums.

The video is full of Michael’s dance moves, costumes and has an amazing megamix going between few of Michael’s super hits!

The percussion ensemble is called Spartan Thunder, and they regularly bring the energy to other school games and events

Holmes says he feels the students deserve attention and credit for their talent, dedication and hard work

“These kids work extremely hard every year, and I think we always talk about the bad things in high schools, but we don’t talk enough about how awesome these kids are,” writes Holmes. “They are truly special!
