Donation for Kermit & Sunshine!

jackson-at-neverland-with-kids-snake1

We are carrying a bit of the King of Pop’s legacy at The Children’s Nature Center in Fruita, Colorado.

Two of Michael Jackson’s giant pythons have found “One More Chance” at our facility. We are “Thrilled” to announce that Kermit and Sunshine are living a peaceful and happy life with the best expert care at our loving Center.

In fact, “We Just Can’t Stop Loving” them! These healthy babies are doing well and we would like to build them a bigger home at The Children’s Nature Center. We are a non-profit organization and depend on donors and sponsors to help our organization flourish. We are asking for a little of your “Human Nature” to help Kermit and Sunshine continue to keep Michael’s “History” alive.

Michael Jackson - With Pet Snake

Please look at “The Man (or Woman) In The Mirror” and consider giving a little monetary contribution for Kermit and Sunshine’s new home and continued care. “You Are Not Alone”, as EVERY contribution helps. We “Don’t Stop ‘Til We Get Enough”. So next time you’re on the western side of Colorado, stop by The Children’s Nature Center and let us, Kermit, and Sunshine “Rock With You”!

We received the snakes from a foundation who directly obtained them from Neverland Ranch.  The snakes arrived in February, 2014, to our facility.  They were underweight and very ill.  Our veterinarian gave them antibiotics and we worked really hard to get them through this rough time.  Glad to report they are healthy and students enjoy it when we take them out.  We can tell that they were well cared for at Neverland as they are very social and great to utilize for our education programs.

Sunshine is the Albino Burmese Python. He is 13 feet in length and weighs 60 pounds.  Kermit is a very rare snake in that he was bred to not have a pattern and to be green.  There are only a few in existence. Kermit is a Patternless Green Burmese Python.  Kermit is 9ft and weighs 50 pounds.

The Children’s Nature Center is a center devoted to education, conservation, and research.  We opened January 4, 2014 and to date have had over 100 field trips to our center.  We are a nonprofit organization and I am happy to provide further information.

We greatly appreciate your support.  Our goal is to build a larger facility where Michael Jackson’s snakes can swim and stretch out in a naturalistic environment.
