Michael Jackson fans in New York City have another chance to bring one of the most iconic dance routines in music history to life or perhaps, to undeath!
Thriller NYC is once again looking for zombie dancers to join its annual performance of Michael Jackson’s legendary “Thriller” dance at the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade on October 31.
The group has been taking part in the famous New York Halloween celebration since 2004, combining a love of Halloween, zombies and Michael Jackson’s music into one spectacular parade performance.
“Since 2004, we have celebrated our combined love of gore and Michael Jackson by performing the infamous Thriller dance,” Thriller NYC explains.
The group welcomes dancers of all experience levels, describing its participants as ranging from complete novices to professional dancers. Age is no barrier either, with the group joking that its zombies are “between 15 and a million years old.”
Of course, joining Thriller NYC is more than simply turning up on Halloween and dancing. Participants must attend two rehearsals ahead of the parade.
The first rehearsal will take place on October 18 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by a second rehearsal on October 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Greenwich Village Halloween Parade will take place on Friday, October 31, beginning at 7:00 p.m., giving Michael Jackson fans the opportunity to join hundreds of performers and thousands of spectators for one of New York City’s biggest Halloween celebrations.
Whether you’re an experienced dancer or have always wanted to learn the choreography from “Thriller,” this could be the perfect opportunity to put on your zombie face and dance your way through New York City.
Registration opened at noon on October 1.

And remember… the zombies may eat brains, growl and bite, but most importantly, they boogie!
