The success of Michael continues as the film has officially been named Favorite Movie at the 2026 World Choice Awards™, a fan-voted awards program celebrating the biggest names in entertainment and popular culture.
Announcing the result, the World Choice Awards praised the overwhelming support from fans around the world:
“The fans have spoken and the King of Pop reigns once again.”
The organization highlighted Michael‘s remarkable achievements, describing it as the highest-grossing music biopic of all time and praising Jaafar Jackson’s acclaimed portrayal of Michael Jackson, noting that his performance “left the whole world speechless.”
The award was decided entirely by public vote, with fans choosing Michael over fellow nominees The Devil Wears Prada 2, Enola Holmes 3, Backrooms, Obsession, and Leviticus.
The World Choice Awards also thanked fans for their incredible support, saying that by voting for Michael, they “did not just vote for a movie” but “voted for a legacy.”
