While in Germany for a special concert, Jackie and Marlon Jackson took time out of their schedule to experience MJ – Das Michael Jackson Musical in Hamburg, creating a memorable moment for both the cast and the legendary brothers themselves.
The Jacksons were in Germany to perform at the Seebühne Bremen on July 18, before making the short trip to Hamburg to attend the hit musical dedicated to their late brother, Michael Jackson.
Following the performance at the Stage Theater an der Elbe, the remaining active members of The Jacksons, Jackie and Marlon were welcomed backstage where they met the cast, including leading actor Benét Monteiro, who portrays Michael Jackson, and Prince Damien, who plays the young Michael. The visit gave the cast a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to chat with two original members of the Jackson 5 and capture plenty of memorable photos together.
According to Stage Entertainment, the brothers were deeply moved by the production, which tells the story of the creation of Michael Jackson’s iconic Dangerous World Tour. Their visit came at a particularly fitting moment, as the musical continues to enjoy enormous success in Hamburg since opening in December 2024. During their backstage tour, Jackie and Marlon also viewed costumes, props and memorabilia from the production, with Michael’s famous glittering glove bringing back fond memories.
For the cast, meeting members of the Jackson family was a truly special endorsement of the production, making the evening one they are unlikely to forget. Seeing Jackie and Marlon enjoying the show and posing for photos with the performers, was a wonderful reminder of the enduring legacy of the Jackson family and Michael’s music, which continues to inspire audiences around the world.
