Dubai lit up with a Michael Jackson-themed drone show this month as part of the international promotion for the biopic Michael.
Videos shared online showed hundreds of drones forming Michael Jackson-inspired images above the city skyline, quickly attracting attention across social media platforms and fan communities.
The show took place next to Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, standing at more than 800 meters high.
The aerial display appears to have taken place during the film’s premiere week activities in the UAE, alongside special screenings and Michael Jackson celebrations held in Dubai on April 21–22, 2026.
The drone activation was reportedly connected to the promotional campaign for Michael. Social media posts linked the project to SkyVertise, although no official statement with full event details has been released so far.
The viral clips once again demonstrated Michael Jackson’s lasting global impact, with Dubai becoming the latest city to celebrate his legacy in spectacular fashion.
