As we told you last February, a tribute to Michael Jackson is in the works, bringing to life the songs he worked on during his time in Ireland. Now, exciting new details have emerged about this long-anticipated project.
Back in 2006, Michael spent five months living in a converted cow shed at Grouse Lodge, Ireland, alongside his family. During this period, some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry joined him, hoping to create what was meant to be his next major comeback album. Unfortunately, the sessions were never completed before Michael departed Ireland later that year, and the songs remained unreleased after his tragic passing in 2009.
However, Grouse Lodge studio owner Paddy Dunning has revealed that he has been working tirelessly to bring these unreleased songs to life. Having just returned from a trip to the United States, Paddy shared that he has been signing up global superstars to record the tracks that were originally written for Michael.
“The sessions started last year, and we have already had the Korean boy band BTS over with us in Grouse Lodge, recording one of the songs,” Paddy told The Irish Sun. “There are about ten more tracks, written especially for Michael by his collaborators here in Ireland, including producer Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew, who are fully on board with the project.”
Paddy also confirmed that the Estate has given its blessing for the album’s release, as well as an accompanying documentary that will chronicle Michael’s unforgettable summer in Ireland. “The Estate told me to plough ahead with this because, like me, they see it as a tribute to Michael,” Paddy said. “For the documentary, we’re gathering stories and memories from everyone who worked with Michael during his time in Ireland.”
During his recent visit to the US, Paddy also had a chance to meet with Michael’s eldest son, Prince, who shared fond memories of their time at Grouse Lodge. “Prince was reminiscing about all the fun they had,” Paddy said. “He mentioned that he, his brother, and sister plan to come back to Ireland to visit us again.”
Beyond the Michael tribute, Paddy is also preparing for the launch of his ambitious “Giant” project in Las Vegas later this year. Billed as the tallest moving statue in the world, the Giant is constructed from millions of programmable LED pixels, capable of transforming into the likeness of any person, historical or iconic.
“The first Giant is set for Las Vegas, but while I was in the US this week, Shanghai also came on board,” Paddy revealed. “In total, 19 countries are now signed up for the project.”
Paddy returned to Dublin just in time for the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Irish Rock and Roll Museum in Temple Bar, where local music legends were honoured for their contributions to Ireland’s vibrant music scene.
Reflecting on his close friendship with Michael, Paddy recalled how much the King of Pop cherished his time in Ireland. “Michael was amazed by the anonymity he had here. He would walk around freely, immerse himself in Irish culture, and had a special fascination with Irish history.”
The album and documentary promise to be heartfelt tributes to that magical chapter in Michael’s life, ensuring that the songs and memories created in Ireland will finally be shared with the world.

BIG HIT acaba de desmentido. Realmente me encantaría saber cual era la necesidad de mentir.
BIG HIT (BTS’s management company) just denounced the lie. I’d really love to know what the need for lying was.
LIARS BTS BIGHIT’S COMPANY JUST CONFIRMED THAT THE NEWS IS FAKE
Just saw the update on this with alleged DENIALS from both MJ Estate and BigHit Music (BTS label)
What is going on?
So many media outlets reported on this.
Can you please clarify.
Thanks.
We have reported the statements from BTS and The Estate in a new article. All information we have so far are there.
I kinda feel like there may be more to come…
Usually the estate releases an official announcement on letterhead with John Branca’s name on it, but the quote I have seen (including the one you have) came from another source.
I wonder if you could reach out to any of the producers mentioned to get a statement from them regarding this matter?
This story has been floating around since 2023…and they are just now debunking it.
And the guy from Ireland would have much to explain as it all feels very weird).
The statement from the Estate is verified and from the PR agency working from the Estate.
This is a false rumour spread by some random ass person. Both Estate and BTS’ official team denied any such reports of any collab album happening.
