Big news for MJ fans across Asia! The smash-hit Broadway show MJ: The Michael Jackson Musical is officially going global with its first international Asian tour, set to kick off in October 2026.
Producers Michael Cassel, Lia Vollack, and Jackson estate co-executors John Branca and John McClain have confirmed the tour will visit major cities across Asia over an initial two-year run, bringing the energy, emotion, and music of the King of Pop to new audiences.
This announcement marks another major milestone for the critically acclaimed production, which has already wowed more than 5 million theatergoers around the world—from Broadway and the West End to Hamburg, Sydney, and a successful U.S. tour. With Melbourne gearing up to host the production this September, Asia is next in line to feel the magic.
Packed with over 25 of Michael Jackson’s most iconic hits, MJ the Musical has earned praise for its powerful storytelling, dazzling choreography, and celebration of one of the greatest entertainers of all time. The show explores Michael’s creative process and the personal moments behind his legendary 1992 Dangerous World Tour rehearsals.
“MJ has proven to be a global phenomenon,” said Michael Cassel, CEO of the Michael Cassel Group. “Audiences from New York to Sydney have been blown away by the artistry, energy, and humanity of this show. We’re now thrilled to bring this extraordinary production to Asia.”
Producer Lia Vollack added: “We can’t wait to share this theatrical experience with even more fans, and we are thrilled that this tour will bring the music and legacy of Michael Jackson to audiences in their own regions.”
A brand-new cast will be assembled for the Asian tour, with auditions, casting, and tour stops expected to be announced in the coming months.
