MAKING OF

At MJVibe, we always want to show case how things are done in the Michael Jackson World! Often we do so in Iconic Magazine with Interviews of people who worked with Michael on his so creative videos, music and dance!

Here the first of a series of online article showing how the ‘I Just Can’t Stop Loving You’ Single cover was created!

Obviously, being the first Single of the New Album ‘BAD’, much was expected after ‘Thriller’!

The single was released on July 20, 1987 worldwide in 7″, 12″ and CD single. And even a Spanish version was released ‘Todo Mi Amor Eres Tu’

Epic, the record company decided of the cover and design it. Here the original proof of the artwork:

The 74x43cm blue ink on tracing paper showcases the way it will look before putting the pictures in, showing the intended layout of text and images for the front and back cover of the single. It will be signed of by the management before further steps.

This would be sent to the design team to put the pictures together and the coloring.

Then the definitive proof will be sent to the manufacturer to be printed!

And here the result:
