As you know, the annual Michael Jackson Birthday Celebration, organized by the Estate, took place in Las Vegas on August 29, on the MJ ONE stage.
Karen Langford opened the event as host. She first revealed a special video tribute created by the five companies of MJ The Musical.
She was soon joined on stage by Prince Jackson, who presented a Diamond RIAA Certification Award for Off the Wall, making it the third Michael Jackson album to achieve this honor.
Karen and Prince then had a conversation about Michael Jackson, sharing personal stories, favorite tour memories, and reflections on his humanitarian work.
They were later joined by Jamie King, who spoke about the recent enhancements made to the MJ ONE show. He shared his journey in the Michael Jackson world and introduced a showcase of a new segment featuring diablos from the show. Karen also revealed that MJ ONE has been extended to 2030.
As always, the celebration concluded with a special performance from the MJ ONE cast.
Before closing, Karen surprised the audience with a heartfelt video from the staff, cast, and production team of the Michael Jackson biopic — including Jaafar Jackson — sending birthday wishes to Michael. She also revealed that the final day of filming had coincidentally taken place on August 29.
