MJ the Musical will officially launch its holiday celebrations on November 28 with special post-show performances of the Jackson 5’s legendary rendition of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” Fans attending both the matinee and evening shows at the Neil Simon Theatre are in for an extra treat, as the cast brings this festive favorite to the stage.
The number has already made waves within the MJ universe. In 2023, the show released its own version of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment. Since then, the cast has delivered the track on major platforms, including NBC’s Today and last year’s NBC Motown Christmas special.
But this upcoming event marks a first—the song has never been performed live at the Neil Simon Theatre… until now.
