It’s close to Midnight… well, it’s close to Halloween! So of course Michael Jackson is going up in the charts and we are expecting the numbers to go further closer we get to Halloween night (and the week after).
So here the charts in the US where Michael Jackson gained spots all over (or nearly). “The Essential Michael Jackson” is up of 12 spots in the Billboard 200 Albums to be at #149, meanwhile “Thriller” gained 26 spots to be at #67. Still on “Thriller”, the album gained 12 spots in the Billboard 50 Catalogue Albums to be at #17, 4 spots in the Billboard 25 Vinyls to be also at #17 and lost one spot in the Billboard 50 Album Sales to be at #39. “Billie Jean” is at #103 in the Billboard Global 200 Tracks, gaining 8 spots from last week and #102 in the Billboard Global 200 Tracks excluding the US, gaining 4 spots. Bringing Michael Jackson up to 13 spots in the Billboard 100 Artists to be at #44.
And now where there is a big change is in the UK! As always “The Essential Michael Jackson” is doing well and still at #11 in the Top 100 Albums and #9 in the Top Streaming Albums. BUT… “Thriller” single has re-entered the Top 100 Single Sales at #96 and #88 in the Top 100 Downloads.
Meanwhile, in Ireland, “The Essential Michael Jackson” is at #20 in the Top 100 Albums. In Portugal, “Thriller” re-entered the Top 200 Albums at #179 and the Top 200 Streaming Albums at #172. In Greece, three Michael Jackson Albums are in the Top 75 Albums Sales: “BAD” gained 13 spots to be at #6, “Dangerous” re-entered at #13 but “Thriller” lost 16 spots to be at #37. In Switzerland, “Billie Jean” surprisingly re-entered the Top 100 Singles at #85. In the Netherlands, “Thriller” lost 2 spots in the Top 100 Albums to be at #24 and lost 13 in the Top 40 Vinyls to be at #27. In Sweden, “Thriller” gained 9 spots to be at #42 in the Top 60 Albums. In Australia, “Thriller” re-entered the Top 50 Catalogue Albums at #49.
